Nearly two decades have passed after Logistics has been established in Sri Lanka as a tertiary education subject. As subject was taught in English at the university level there was no urgent need for a Sinhala textbook as many logistics and Transport books are available in English medium. This subject was first entered to the school curriculum in 2017 and I started writing this book about a year later primarily to assist school children and teachers. However, based on the strategic need of a vertical integration between school, university, and industry, I subsequently extended the horizon to cover its contents to suit to the needs at university level as well as for the applications pertaining to the industry. It is expected that practitioners may keep this as a manual. The contents directly related to the school syllabi has been highlighted for easy reference by school children.
